CDL Training Trucking

CYTCYL has partnered with a few different trucking schools to provide CDL training for formerly incarcerated individuals with funding being provided for all CYTCYL participants. Training ranges from four weeks to six months, and when completed allows individuals to begin their commercial truck driving career. While Participating in the commercial driver’s license training programs, drivers will receive their licenses and be in high demand as great professional drivers. Upon graduating participants will learn basic truck driving skills, local and over-the-road (OTR) trucking best practices, and more to propel your career. Once participants graduate CYTCYL will assist with job placement.

Barber School

CYTCYL has partnered with barber schools to provide barber training for formerly incarcerated individuals with funding being provided for all CYTCYL participants. All individuals will be trained in all aspects of barbering. We will prepare all to take and pass the Pennsylvania State Board exam. Lastly, all individuals will be able to identify characteristics important about employment.

Culinary Arts

CYTCYL has partnered with Culinary Arts schools to provide culinary training with funding being provided for all CYTCYL participants. With hands-on training, individuals will learn about various food products, cooking methods and presentation techniques. You will also learn how to apply good nutrition principles and demonstrate safe food handling practices. You will be prepared to seek employment in a wide variety of commercial and non-commercial food service operations.

Upholstery

CYTCYL has partnered with an Upholstery service/program to provide a self paced training program which provides extensive instruction, guidance and the time needed to learn and master the trade of upholstery/ home decor sewing with funding being provided for all CYTCYL participants.
